Big Splash at 2024 HONK! Parade

We made a huge splash at this year’s HONK! parade, once again doubling the number of our supporters. Youth members handed out hundreds of fish stickers to child spectators along the way. Hundreds of petition signatures were collected from Somervillians and Cantabridgians. And we handed out 1000 flyers!

  1. I even saw some of our HONK walkers from the Friends of Alewife Reservation Honk days such as Eric and Larry, and at that time we were trying to save the Silver Maple Forest with stilts walker as butterfly, Maya Apfelbaum. Hopefully between EPA standards and Cambridge and MWRA commitments, the Brook PLUS Little River that feeds the Alewife brook WILL BE SAVED from deadly contaminants !!.. Ellen, former head of FAR
